1-22-07 first toons ever

This screenshot is an interesting one.  When I first started playing WoW, I didn't take many screenshots.  I certainly hadn't thought to take screenies of my character screen either!  Well, I took this screenshot on January 22, 2007 (just a handful of days after the release of The Burning Crusade).

This (un)lovely Undead woman was my very first toon EVER.

The name listed under hers, Inawen, was my highest character ever until I rolled Alynedarra with the Blood Elf craze.

Stranger yet, NONE of those toons listed are in existence anymore.  They've all been deleted.

Just a memory.

I am currently using the name Zuranisha for my Troll Death Knight, but that's the only resemblance my current character screen has to this one from two and a half years ago.

Interesting how things can change, isn't it?

  • I still have all of my original characters. Transferred one to my current server, and the left the other one to fend for himself back on Arthas.

Have you ever rolled a male character? It seems like female players always roll female characters (I personally know one exception). But male characters roll females all the time. What’s been your experience?

  • @Etni – First, sorry that you read the post and commented when it published early by accident 😛

I have rolled a couple male characters. I have rolled a couple male Blood Elves, but they haven’t gotten very high. I still have one now, but that was just to have the name Valentino for make Valentine’s for a guild event.

I have a male Tauren druid – Caponikus! – who’s almost level 20. Otherwise, I tend to create female characters. I don’t really have a good answer as to why. But I do usually create a female character for most games.

Welcome

We are a family of gamers. Mom (Darcy/Syrana) and Dad (Brian/Sideshow) have been gaming for as long as they can remember back when you only had a joystick to use and saved your games to cassette tapes.

They've been gaming together since they met in 2002. Sometime after 2006, they both started playing World of Warcraft and did that for many years. They started this blog, originally called Sideshow & Syrana which has now transitioned to the new Stay-At-Home Gamers site, while keeping all of the original content.

Starting in 2010, two more gamers came along (now known as Princess Boo and Mr. X) and they are now old enough where they both enjoy playing games and watching others play games. They are both excited to have others to watch them play their favorite games. Come along with us and let's enjoy these games together!
