@Veliaf - Different is good :) I think the only downside of doing those outside of November is there are less people participating to provide support and whatnot, but the important thing is stickin' to your goal! :D

I did NaBloPoMo back in August, to be different :D No reason it has to be November!

I've never tried NaNo, though - maybe next month.

Yeah. I dunno, maybe once I start writing about random things, I'll eventually get into a groove. Then the blog will sprout into something that I can't think of at this moment. But...maybe it'll happen if I just start posting.

I'll try :)

Until then, I keep linking my story of Velanora, but eventually I'll switch over to Pooftacular. I'm sure eventually I'll have something to say about WoW :) Afterall, I still play. I still enjoy it. And I'm looking forward to the next expansion :)

@Kleps - That sounds like a great project. So it's a collaborative novel then? Or similar to the NaNo group where they provide support, ideas, encouragement, etc?

@Cait - It can be tough to balance out what you need/want to vent and who you want to see it. I think overall blogging about work tends to an area that needs to be approached with caution - no one wants to get fired for venting. (Of course it all depends how ya do it, like not naming the employer, but still) Like you said though, when inspiration strikes.... don't want it to feel like work or it loses it's fun, creative outlet feel.

I have a new blog (pooftacular.wordpress.com), but I just don’t know what to use it for or what to write. I don’t want to write out my deep, dark, secrets or negative things. I want the blog to be seen in a purely positive light.

The problem is that most of what I would write was negative due to writing being an outlet for what I was going through. So I’m stumped. What do I write about? I play WoW a few times a month with my boyfriend, but not enough to have a blog for it again. I work the same job every day and would prefer not to write about it since that’s a somewhat negative subject for me as well.

It’s not all bad. We have popsicle hour after all…but still. I’ve found it difficult to actually use this blog. I tend to just haunt yours and a few other blogs in particular. Waiting for the day when inspiration and time actually become available.

In a lucky coincidence, a professor of mine assigned to the class that each person create a project to improve a campus organization. I decided to create an online place for the campus to write a novel together (to promote the lit group). The email announcements will hopefully have it seen and then I'll see how it goes. It's a shame you're not a student, it's aimed at those who aren't going to be writing a novel on their own.

On my own, I'll just keep on posting. Maybe to celebrate I'll pretend I posted just because of the arbitrary month.
