I think we can all agree that contests are awesome and free stuff is awesome.  Especially free stuff we want.  Previously I haven't really advertised any contests, but heck, I'm entering these! 😉

Side note – I did submit my entry for the Blizzard Creative Writing Contest.  Deadline is April 12th.  I actually decided to take a portion of Aerissa's current story to use as a short story.  I had a great idea in my mind for a short story to use specifically for the contest, but the deadline snuck up so fast and I didn't want to risk NOT finishing it in time.  Wish us luck! *crosses fingers*

Contests You Should Enter!!!riseofarthas-cover2

  • New Arthas novel giveaway contests!

1 – Blizzard's (Lasts until April 20th)

2 – Random Ravings of Warcraft (Lasts until April 24th)

  • Launch of WoW Relief – Chance for a Best Buy gift card (Lasts until April 14th)

(The only one I'm not creative enough to enter is the web comic, but I would love to see what you, my dear readers, could put forth!)

Good luck to us all!

  • Hey Syrana – I’ve been slow, slow, slow to catch up on all the blogs I love to read. Finally managed to get some reading time today. Really glad to hear that you entered the contest. I’m crazy curious to know how many people took part in this “worldwide” competition.

Hopefully they post entries so we can see the kinds of stories others brought to the ball-game!

  • @Windpaw – No worries on catching up.. I struggle with that all the time lately. I’m excited to see who will win and if Blizz is going to share those stories… I want to see my competitors! 😉

Welcome

We are a family of gamers. Mom (Darcy/Syrana) and Dad (Brian/Sideshow) have been gaming for as long as they can remember back when you only had a joystick to use and saved your games to cassette tapes.

They've been gaming together since they met in 2002. Sometime after 2006, they both started playing World of Warcraft and did that for many years. They started this blog, originally called Sideshow & Syrana which has now transitioned to the new Stay-At-Home Gamers site, while keeping all of the original content.

Starting in 2010, two more gamers came along (now known as Princess Boo and Mr. X) and they are now old enough where they both enjoy playing games and watching others play games. They are both excited to have others to watch them play their favorite games. Come along with us and let's enjoy these games together!
