Last week's recap

There were some great guesses for the location of the grave (with escaping skeleton) from last Sunday's screenshot.  However, no one got close enough!  It was a tough one, I know.  There wasn't much in the shot to give away the surroundings.  It's actually from Sholazar Basin!  Yup! On the western coast (beyond the Maker's Perch) on the Stormwright Shelf.  I came across the little graveyard while doing one of the Oracle dailies.

Introducing…

A couple days ago, it was quite embarrassing when I had to type into guild chat:

stuckinwellconvo1Yep.  I was working on the cooking daily in Dalaran.  Good ol' psychedelic mushroom meatloaf.  After grabbing my chilled meat from the bank, I went to hop down the well for a quick shot into the sewer.  Except for one problem.

I got stuck.

At first I thought maybe it had something to do with the big ass Zhevra I was trying to wedge down there with me.

So I dismounted.

But I was still stuck.  Floating in the well.  Too low to climb out, too high to touch the sewer floor.  When I dismounted, my minion, Maagrom, disappeared into the depths…. of hell apparently, because I heard the “chink!” of his soul shard being regifted to me.  (Which you can actually see when that occurs in the above conversation.)

So, I thought I'd bring to you, the lovely series of images associated with my being stuck.  Oh, and yes, there were comments in gchat comparing me to Winnie the Pooh getting stuck in Rabbit's hole after eating up the honey.  -.-

Looks like a safe well to shimmy down through...

My trusty Zhevra and I begin our descent through the well to enter the Dalaran sewers.

What the! We're stuck. And boy does it look dark down there....

Looking up towards the top, I begin to call for help, but no one answers my cries.

So then I had to hearth and land, what, 20 feet away?  I still had to go into the sewers to pick ‘shrooms, but I decided to take a different route this time.

  • It was quite funny…there was nothing that we could do to help you get unstuck. Another fun moment in guild chat with helpful hints and references!

  • Nice Screenies! I love taking pictures of Glitches! Fulguralis & I took TONS of SS’s of a bird glitch that allowed us to have around 20 birds following us around until we died.

I’m glad that Lassie came in to save you!

  • @Keli – I am glad you all were amused by my plight 😛

@Fuu – There are certainly some interesting an odd glitches that happen from time to time that just look ridiculous! And of course, gotta SS, otherwise it didn’t happen 😉

  • @Solarya – If you do go near the well, be sure to tie a rope around your waist and to a guildie! 😉

Welcome

We are a family of gamers. Mom (Darcy/Syrana) and Dad (Brian/Sideshow) have been gaming for as long as they can remember back when you only had a joystick to use and saved your games to cassette tapes.

They've been gaming together since they met in 2002. Sometime after 2006, they both started playing World of Warcraft and did that for many years. They started this blog, originally called Sideshow & Syrana which has now transitioned to the new Stay-At-Home Gamers site, while keeping all of the original content.

Starting in 2010, two more gamers came along (now known as Princess Boo and Mr. X) and they are now old enough where they both enjoy playing games and watching others play games. They are both excited to have others to watch them play their favorite games. Come along with us and let's enjoy these games together!
