So the Hearts, Hands, and Voices Child's Play charity drive is going quite well! We're having a blast on Twitter with all the blame tweets.  Some are downright hilarious, others make me go “awww, sowwey!”

But here's a little story about how I fail…

It's been very cool to connect with more members of the WoW blogging/podcasting/twittering community as we come together through Azeroth United.  It has also been fun and interesting to see the creative ways people are getting the word out about the community and the charity drive.

For example, I entered the first Hex Factor contest and won!

Afterwards, as I was perusing Swagdog.com for a shirt so I could use the code I won, I was reminded that I was provided codes to use and/or giveaway for helping to support the charity drive.

Oops.

That's what I get for skimming my email.

So,  I want to say sorry to the 2nd place entry of that contest since they really should have gotten the code instead of me.  I just wanted to have fun and enter my “For the children!” battlecry slogan.

I did order a shirt though… a very fitting blaming shirt…

Speaking of #iblamesyrana, that is going marvelously.  I think we'll hit our blame tweet mark well before December 13th!

As a thank you to all who have helped spread the word, donated, blamed me, etc….

I offer to you this special 25% code that can be used at Swagdog.com between Monday 11/9/09 and Sunday 11/15/09: childsplay226

Hey, you could even get your very own I Blame Syrana guild shirt!

Oh well. Please feel free to enter the other contests too, though – I can always pass the prize to second place if you win, if you want.

The more people who enter, the better (shameless plug for more entries) so go for it 😀

    Vel.

  • @Veliaf – I know, very much /facepalm. I did it IRL in fact when I realized my error. Ah well, you’ll have more contests so that’s a plus! 🙂

Welcome

We are a family of gamers. Mom (Darcy/Syrana) and Dad (Brian/Sideshow) have been gaming for as long as they can remember back when you only had a joystick to use and saved your games to cassette tapes.

They've been gaming together since they met in 2002. Sometime after 2006, they both started playing World of Warcraft and did that for many years. They started this blog, originally called Sideshow & Syrana which has now transitioned to the new Stay-At-Home Gamers site, while keeping all of the original content.

Starting in 2010, two more gamers came along (now known as Princess Boo and Mr. X) and they are now old enough where they both enjoy playing games and watching others play games. They are both excited to have others to watch them play their favorite games. Come along with us and let's enjoy these games together!
